Apple Sues Youtuber Who Leaked ios 26’s New, Apple News leak

You Tuber Jon Processer claimed that a video he uploaded to his Front Page Tech channel in January was "your first look at iOS 19," the operating system that Apple would reveal as iOS 26 a few months later.

The remainder of the video featured a mock-up of a revised Camera app, a sneak peek at Apple's comprehensive "Liquid Glass" redesign that the company would unveil at its Worldwide Preview in April, including one dubbed "the biggest iOS leak ever," even though Processer stated he "couldn't show the actual video of what I saw" because he wanted to protect his source.

Apple acknowledged months after the fact that Prosser had been given a preview of the new operating system and the Liquid Glass design. According to MacRumors, it accomplished this by suing Prosser and a man by the name of Michael Ramaciotti for disclosing Apple's trade secrets.

There is a whole media ecosystem devoted to monitoring and disseminating Apple leaks and rumours since they are so frequent. Apple claims that the action was brought about by a "coordinated scheme" involving Prosser and Ramacciotti to get an Apple employee's company-owned phone and use it to disseminate Apple trade secrets on YouTube in return for advertising money.

The complete lawsuit details Apple's version of events and was uploaded to Scribd by MacRumors. Ethan Lipnik, an Apple employee with whom Ramacciotti was pals, had an iPhone running an unreleased version of the upcoming iOS operating system. While Lipnik was gone from home, Ramacciotti allegedly accessed the phone at Prosser's request and used FaceTime to call Prosser and demonstrate the new software design.

According to Apple's lawsuit, "the defendants' misconduct was brazen and egregious." "The defendants came up with a plan to obtain Apple's trade secret and confidential information by using Mr. Lipnik's Apple-owned development iPhone after Mr. Prosser discovered that Mr. Ramacciotti needed money and that his friend Ethan Lipnik was working on unreleased software designs at Apple."

An audio message that Ramacciotti gave to Lipnik, who then forwarded it to Apple, seems to be the main source of information for Apple. An email from an unidentified source dated April 4 that was also included in the complaint claimed that Ramaciotti and three other individuals were engaged in the blacked-out breach and identified Lipnik as the leak's source.

The petition states that Lipnik was fired for not adhering to Apple's procedures that were intended to safeguard its proprietary data, including development devices, unreleased software, and features. Additionally, Lipnick is accused in the filing of neglecting to inform Apple of "multiple prior violations."

Prosser asserts that Apple's chronology of events is erroneous.

Prosser wrote on social media late yesterday, "This is not how things went on my end." Luckily, the receipts are with me. No one's phone was "planted" by me. There was no password for me. How the information was gathered was unknown to me. I'm excited to discuss this with Apple.

Then, in February, Prosser shared a screenshot from a messaging service that seemed to show him receiving unwanted information on the makeover of Liquid Glass.

In order to "protect their trade secrets" and "Mesrs.," Apple is suing Prosser and Ramacciotti for damages. aims to prevent Prosser and Ramacciotti from engaging in unlawful activity. Apple characterises Prosser and Ramacciotti as "an ongoing threat" since Lipnik's phone "includes other announced design elements that remain secret," despite the fact that the company has already made public the Liquid Glass design and iOS 26.
